The room was very clean and comfortable with lots of light. It had both a shower and a soaking tub. The room is offset from the doorway to the hall, so the light under the door wasn't visible. The pillows were dense and soft. The mattress was firm, and we slept well. There were many instructions when we arrived, but I appreciated having clear information. We were told when the room would be serviced ahead of time, and we were able to coordinate with the front desk to ensure it didn't interfere with our stay at all. The location was amazing. Portland is a very walkable city, and the hotel was in the midst of it all. We left the car parked in the garage for the full three days we were there and walked everywhere. To visit some of the further out attractions, we did a tour that allowed you to get on and off at its various stops.

I think the term "boutique" almost applies here, and it does if you include the on-campus dinner AND bar. That said it is a very quaint place that fits the definition of "hotel" You can drive up, park and let someone go park your car for you. I did not however, but it did not take from the charm of the place. In addition, it has to have one of the nicest workout space and equipment I have seen in a small space as this. This is great in the spring as you likely won't want to do much in the rain of the pacific Northwest. I loved my corner room also.

Clean, quiet, and secure. Well maintained. Staff welcoming, courteous, and helpful. Good In-room coffee. Great downtown location with plenty of restaurants, food trucks, shops and such within walking distance. I walked from Union train station in about 20 minutes.

The location of the hotel is excellent for events at the Portland arts theaters. Only a block and a half away from the venues. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Some street noise but our room was on the 12th floor which helped a lot.

It’s right in the heart of downtown and walking distance to plenty of restaurants, the water etc. Even though there’s no parking provided or valet services, there’s a parking garage where you can park overnight for less than $10 and it’s safe!
